ADMISSION
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
There is a set of minimum requirements
that participants have to fulfil.
These minimum requirements are:
- have an academic background (minimum Bachelor degree) related to Environmental Management: natural sciences, engineering sciences, geography, agricultural or social sciences
- for Mexican students, an average grade of 8.0 is required in their degree, for other countries an equivalent average
- preferably be under 36 years old, in exceptional cases up to 40
- be fluent in English language
- proficiency in Spanish for the German participants
- basic knowledge of German language for Mexican and Latin American participants (advantageous)
- be highly motivated to learn in a multicultural environment
APPLICATION
Application deadline for the intake 2010 is February 18th, 2010.
The following documents have to be sent digitally:
- completed and signed application form in English,
- document proving the higher education entrance qualification, in Spanish, English or German,
- higher education graduation certificate plus academic record, in Spanish, English or German,
- explanations of the higher institutions grading system,
- curriculum vitae (in tabular form) in English
- proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 550 points, IELTS band 6 or equivalent test). If an applicant's first language is English or his/her studies at the university level have been conducted wholly in the medium of English (written proof from the University is required) he/she is exempted from providing an English language proficiency test,
- Proficiency in Spanish for German applicants,
- a letter of motivation explaining why he/she would like to study in the program (1 page) in English for Latino applicants, in Spanish for German applicants,
- formulated project idea on what the/she would be interested to work on during the master thesis (2 pages) in English,
- two letters of reference/recommendation (preferably one of the current employer).
